Olympic Torch Tour Activities and Events 8th July 2012

All Explorers, Senior Section, Scouts, Guides, Cub , Brownies, Beavers, Rainbows, Cubs, and Leaders will meet in Gadebridge Park for an afternoon of Challenge Style activities.
Scouts, Guides, Senior Section and Explorers will take over one part of Gadebridge Park whilst Cubs, Brownies, Beavers and Rainbows will run separate activities nearby.

These activities will be followed by an informal parade from Gadebridge Park to the Scout and Guide Headquarters on Queensway for a brief refreshment break before ;ining up to watch the Olympic Torch pass by.

Parents are welcome to watch the activities in Gadebridge Park or meet their children at Queensway to view the Torch as it passes.

We would welcome some parents to assist in Gadebridge Park by manning various challenge bases alongside Scouting or Guiding Leaders.

Timings
Arrive at Gadebridge Park: 2:30
Activities: 2:30-4:15
Parade formation: 4:15-4:30
Walk to Queensway: 4:30
Line up to view torch: 5:30
Dismissal: Approx 6:15-6:30

There is no cost for Scout Association youth members Prizes, light refreshments  and a souvenir badge will be available on the day.

Wear/ Bring:
Full uniform
Waterproof/ sun hat (weather dependent)
Small change (1p, 2p and 5p collected between now and event) – this will be ollected together at the event and donated to Wheel Power
